Joe began his career after graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in broadcasting. He started as a photojournalist at the CBS affiliate, WJXT in Jacksonville, working with reporters including Steve Kroft of “60 Minutes”. While in news, and later at KIRO TV and PM Magazine, Joe won two regional Emmy Awards for his work.

Then, at United Way of Ameral Film Festival Awards, as well as a San Francisco; a Houston; and a Chicago Int. Film Fest. Award; as well as two Ciica’s national headquarters, first as a director, and later as VP In Charge of Production, he won seven N.Y. Internationne Golden Eagles for his documentaries and short scripted films.

Recognized for his work as a director, Joe was offered the opportunity to direct the hit CBS series’ “Knots Landing” and “Falcon Crest” in Hollywood, and “Walker, Texas Ranger” in Dallas, Texas. Joe then set his sights on International projects. In 1991, shortly after the fall of the Berlin wall, he moved his family to Europe, where he directed all 26 episodes of an International action/adventure series filmed on location in the former Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, Germany, and Portugal.

Continuing his work in International projects, Joe directed the pilot and subsequent episodes of “The New Adventures Of Robin Hood” filmed in Lithuania; followed by four European TV movies; a TV pilot for Pro 7 and one for RTL in Germany, Italy, and Hungary; two International co- productions filmed in Austria and Lithuania;
and two independent features for US production companies.

His recent directorial work includes the ABC gladiator series “Empire” filmed on location in Italy; an ABC USO primetime special shot on location in Iraq, Kuwait, and Germany; several documentaries; and the current Fox/My Network TV series “Saints And Sinners”. He is currently in development on an independent feature film to be shot in Georgia;
and is preparing to shoot two documentaries.

As a lifelong surfer and adventurer, Joe is honored to presently be a part of “Waves Of Peace”, a feature-length
documentaryto be shot in Israel, Palestine, Cyprus and Lebanon.
